Cycling Background/Experience:
I started racing mountain bikes in the 90’s heyday. The groups were large and I was slow. Took some time off when the kids were young but have been racing both road and mountain the last couple of years (even entered a couple of bmx races lately). Am thinking about trying cross for the first time this fall. I need courses with hills to be competitive.
DOB/Hometown:
I was born in Boulder, Colorado on 4/9/73 but moved to Arvada soon after. Grew up in the Arvada/Golden area and went to A-West for high school. Moved to Fort Collins for school. Graduated, got married and then moved to Olympia Washington. Spent about 8 years there before moving to Missoula MT. Spent 4 years in Missoula and then finally made it back home to Fort Collins about 2 years ago. Glad to be home.
Height/Weight:
I seem to be shrinking because I used to be 6’ in high school but now am 5’11” and typically weigh around 150 lbs.
Education:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Colorado State
Job Off the Bike:
Environmental engineer. Mainly design of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

You may be surprised to know…
For those of you who have been in Fort Collins since the early ‘90s you probably remember Wayne’s Bicycles. I managed the shop for a couple of years when I was finishing up school.
