Greg Scanlan phones home with some running updates to his racing the Crit and Road Race at the Rocky Mountain Omnium in Glenwood Springs during this rainy and chilly weekend. Photo: Junko Kazukawa This was both riders’ first time to [...] Greg Scanlan rang it in for Team Peloton-Specialized at this past weekend’s Mountain States Cup #2: Chalk Creek Stampede with podium finishes at the Cat 1 Short Track (2nd) and 30+ Super-D/Time Trial (2nd), and a solid 13th place among a massively competitive field at the Cat 1 XC. Greg Scanlan, Bill Frielingsdorf, and Jim Fu flew the Peloton-Specialized colors on the beautiful morning of Saturday, May 8th, at Bear Creek Lake State Park for the Front Range 50 MTB endurance race. Greg (bib #299) came in with a well-earned 4th place (out of 81 finishers) in the Mens’ 40-49 category [...] This weekend and the CSU Oval Criterium, Greg Scanlan – local hard man and long time mountain bike racer – showed the Cat 4/5 category how strong he is. Riding at the front for the whole race, and keeping enough in the reserves to sprint away for his first W in his first road event. Congrats [...] |
