The Peloton-Specialized Cycling Team was well represented at the Winter Park season finale, the King of the Rockies.

Matt Gough, Scott Ellis, and Bill Frielingsdorf all rode S-Works Epics at the popular race that begins with the Tipperary Creek Trail. Peloton-Specialized’s own “Great Dane,” Thomas Borch, rode his S-Works Stumpy 29er, and Sam Naffziger ripped the epic singletrack on his S-Works Stumpjumper FSR.
Matt Gough rode his way to a 5th place finish at 2:05:37 in the super-competetive Sport Men 35-39 category that boasted a field of 44 riders.
Sam Naffziger posted a 2:17:21 to finish 25th in the equally competetive Sport 40-44 category.
Scott Ellis finished 6th in the Sport 50-59 category at 2:19:37. Scott finished the season with an impressive 5th place overall for the series.
Bill Frielingsdorf finished 10th at 1:56:09 in the Expert 35-39 category.
Unfortunately, Thomas Borch can’t buy a break this season. All of his bad luck seems to come at the races and this was no exception. Thomas was flying up the hills, but suffered an untimely flat tire in addition to a broken saddle. He recovered to finish 23rd at 2:12:28 in the Expert 35-39 category. At least Thomas admitted that he was still able to enjoy the sweet singletrack we all rode on Saturday.
